IDENTITY OF THE DATA CONTROLLER

This information notice has been prepared by Mekap Leather and Footwear Industry Trade Inc., acting as the data controller, within the scope of Article 10 of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 and the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles to Be Followed in Fulfilling the Obligation to Inform. Our aim is to inform you about the methods of obtaining your personal data, the purposes of processing, transfers to third parties, the legal grounds for processing your personal data, and your rights.

Pursuant to Article 3 of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698, personal data refers to any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. Our institution carries out personal data processing activities by taking the necessary security measures, particularly for the protection of privacy and fundamental rights and freedoms.

PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA AND PURPOSES OF PROCESSING

Due to your being a visitor to our website and filling out the forms available on our website, your personal data such as your name, surname, phone number, e-mail address, city information, and any personal data you may provide within the message and subject sections are processed by us for the following purposes:

  • Receiving requests, complaints, and suggestions through the corporate website and contacting you when necessary,

  • Carrying out application processes for companies wishing to become dealers or suppliers,

  • Receiving applications for participation in social responsibility projects,

  • Providing information regarding company developments, products, etc. (subscription feature).

TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA

Within the framework of Article 8 of Law No. 6698 regarding the transfer of personal data, your personal data submitted to us due to your visit to our website will be processed by our Institution and will not be transferred to any third party or institution.

TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA ABROAD AND PURPOSE

As Mekap Leather and Footwear Industry Trade Inc., we use AWS (Amazon Web Services) servers and IT infrastructure located in Frankfurt, Germany. In order to provide all software functions and features, user information is transferred to, processed, stored, and retained within this IT infrastructure.

METHOD OF COLLECTING PERSONAL DATA AND LEGAL BASIS

Your personal data will be processed based on the legal ground stated in Article 5 of Law No. 6698, namely “the explicit consent of individuals being required for the processing of their data,” provided that you declare your explicit consent. Your personal data is collected automatically through the forms available on our website.

YOUR RIGHTS REGARDING THE PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

Within the scope of Article 11 of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6689 regulating the rights of the data subject, everyone has the right to:

  • Learn whether personal data is processed,

  • Request information if personal data has been processed,

  • Learn the purpose of processing personal data and whether it is used in accordance with that purpose,

  • Know the third parties to whom personal data is transferred domestically or abroad,

  • Request correction of personal data if it is incomplete or incorrectly processed and request notification of the correction to third parties to whom the personal data has been transferred,

  • Request deletion or destruction of personal data and request notification of such action to third parties to whom the personal data has been transferred,

  • Object to the emergence of a result against the person by analyzing processed data exclusively through automated systems,

  • Request compensation for damages in case of damage due to unlawful processing of personal data.

You may submit your requests and complaints within this scope to Mekap Leather and Footwear Industry Trade Inc. in accordance with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller by:

  • Applying in person to Nuroğlu Neighborhood, Organized Industrial Zone, 8th Street No:6, Arsin, Trabzon, Türkiye,

  • Sending a notification through a notary public to Nuroğlu Neighborhood, Organized Industrial Zone, 8th Street No:6, Arsin, Trabzon, Türkiye,

  • Sending via registered electronic mail (KEP) to mekap@hs01.kep.tr,

  • Sending an e-mail from the electronic mail address previously notified to and registered in our systems to info@mekap.com.
